This couple brought the city to the mountains and they
totally brought it! Laura and Scott were married in beautiful Beaver Creek,
Colorado on a gorgeous fall day in October. The weather can be a bit iffy in
the fall here in the mountains, but they still were able to host a lovely
outdoor ceremony facing the mountains and a drop dead gorgeous tented reception
under the stars on the mountain side of The Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch.

One of my favorite things about all the different
weddings that I shoot, is how each couple can truly make their wedding ceremony
unique to themselves, their families, and their own traditions. Laura &
Scott’s ceremony was a perfect blend of the two of them. They had a pastor and
a rabbi collectively perform their ceremony bringing in the elements of each
religious tradition that were important to them. As the rabbi stated during
their ceremony, “You come from two different traditions, but your values are
the same. And that’s what we do together.” Those words were so powerful and so
very true - what an amazing way to start their married life together!

The design and execution of this wedding was pulled
off flawlessly thanks to the talented team at Kelly Karli Weddings and Events,
the floral designs of La Rue Floral, and the design expertise of Eclectic Hive
to bring it all together. The candle light, soft palette of the flowers, and
twinkle lights all gave the reception a truly romantic feel and what better way
for the bride and groom to enjoy their dinner and reception than while sitting
in a cozy love seat at the table alongside all their friends. I adore the clear
top tent from Colorado Tents and Events that truly makes your guests feel like
they are outside enjoying the views of the mountains and trees here in
Colorado. And at night you can literally see the stars as everyone dances the
night away. Speaking of dancing, I have never seen a more packed dance floor
than this one. Laura & Scott knew that they wanted the dance party to be a
main focus of their wedding, so they brought in No Limits from Salt Lake City,
one of the best entertainers I’ve ever seen at a wedding. Every guest was out
there dancing and it was a party they will not soon forget!

I love to hear the personal stories of my couples and
their families and it's always so interesting to hear about their connection to
the Colorado mountains and what made them choose this magical place for their
wedding day. Everyone seemed to have a story about skiing and visiting Vail
Mountain for multiple generations and now Laura and Scott will get to continue
those traditions and bring their own newly formed family here in the coming
years as well.
